The improbable happened to Kimbo Slice and his numerous fans and supporters. For the first time in his proficient mixed martial arts career, pro elite fighter Kimbo Slice tasted whitewash.

Slice was ultimately defeated by mixed martial arts competitor Seth "The Smoothy Bar" Petruzelli (10-4).

With only a first-round knockout that took just 14 seconds, Seth Petruzelli earned the up most respected title as  "MMA star”. Nobody would have anticipated that "The Ultimate Fighter"  Kimbo Slice would go down so effortlessly. But then again Seth Petruzelli was never really a force to heedlessly miscalculate. Petruzelli who dons the record of 10 wins, 9 by knock out basically beleaguered and over powered Kimbo at the opening bell which left Kimbo’s  massive fan base in complete alarm.

Seth "The Smoothy Bar" Petruzelli's victory also left Kimbo  fans frustrated and wondering if their MMA idol still had the fiercely dedicated heart they once admired.

"Kimbo had no business being in the cage against anyone with even a minimal level of MMA skill." wrote author Michael David Smith in an article on AOL Sports. Smith wasn't the only writer to publish such a bold comment about Kimbo's shocking defeat. DogHouseBoxing writer Benny "Big Dog" Henderson had this to say in a recent article he wrote in DogHouseBoxing.com "Seth took the gamble and won big with a first round fourteen second romping over Kimbo Slice, not only earning himself the TKO win, but the biggest victory in his career."
Seth "The Smoothy Bar" Petruzelli's amazing surprise victory proved the knowledge of antediluvian war philosopher Niccoló Machiavelli in regards to Power.

"Power can easily take a name, but a name cannot give power."- Niccoló Machiavelli, The Discourses. 1517.

There is no surer and less objectionable mode of repressing the insolence of an individual ambitious of power, who arises in a republic, than to forestall him in the ways by which he expects to arrive at that power. - Niccoló Machiavelli, The Discourses. 1517.

People cannot make themselves secure except by being powerful. - Niccoló Machiavelli, The Discourses. 1517.

Amongst the other indications by which the power of a republic may be recognized is the relation in which they live with their neighbors; if these are tributary to her by way of securing her friendship and protection, then it is a sure sign that that republic is powerful. - Niccoló Machiavelli, The Discourses. 1517.

The commander of an army should always mistrust any manifest error which he sees the enemy commit, as it invariably conceals some strategems. [The wise Prince] never withdraws his thought from training for war; in peace he trains himself for it more than in time of war. - Niccoló Machiavelli, The Prince. 1537.
