Dear Creator, please forgive me for I am certainly confused,
There are a thousand and one beliefs that squabble over you.

Some call you Allah, while others refer to you as Jesus Christ,
These diverse religions shout out and all argue to be right.

I chose to simply call you "My Creator", with all due respect,
So please forgive me for being independent and avoiding any one religious sect.

When I was growing up as a child my parents proclaimed I was Catholic,
But I never liked the churches glitz or its elaborate dialect.

I lost faith as a teen when I drifted and I fell,

I stopped attending Sunday Mass and was told I'd burn in hell.

Christians claim to be the chosen ones and sometimes toss their beliefs in my face,
Pastor Ted Haggard, oh what a disgrace.

I'm no one to judge you Ted, my farts stink just like yours,

I sometimes fantisize about married women while you desire male whores.

Extreme Muslims decapitating others and blowing up the innocent,
Christians, Jews and Atheists with revolting intent.

Praying to you in my own head always felt better than attending church,
So I ask that you be patient as I continue in my search.

I admit that I am natural sinner and a two-faced hypocrite,
I lust, curse and spit, and that I do admit.

My Creator, I hope I am not offending you; I’m willing to pay triple if I’m wrong.
I am thankful for my eccentric life as I write you this blunted song.

I beg that you have unconditional mercy on all of man kind.
Lead us to the truth and forgive us all for we are blind.
